Massey has UConn (#4) beating Villanova (#59) 70-53 @ 93%.
They were close yesterday having it 69-52 with the final being 71-51.
I'm hoping for a win big enough so Amari and Piath play for a few minutes.

The last part of the season when UConn started to get healthy Villanova and UConn played several common opponents..comparative scores mean not a lot but does reveal some interesting out comes .UConn has only had healthy roster for what 4 games. Villanova first Marquette 11 point win. UConn 14 and 20 point wins DePaul. 9 Win UConn 24 Seton hall loss by 12 , won by 9. UConn won by 33 Xavier won by 9. UConn. 54 Georgetown 12 win. UConn 46 point win St. John. 14 win. UConn won by 55
I do think villonova played an unbelievable game when they played UConn The first 3 quarters they played an A+++++++++ game UConn played probably a F———- The 4th quarter UConn played UConn ball . That type of effort and it will translate into 30 point win or better.

They took a game from us they had no business winning. Time for the Wildcats to face the reality of a nine player attack from a pack of Wild Huskies!

UCONN will be a number 2 seed if they win convincingly tonight and should end up in Bridgeport. Huge if. Villanova is to be respected, but this is a revenge game, and the Huskies have a habit of pounding teams that upset them, especially after ending their conference win streak and doing it in their house.
I think it was James that posted Paige must be at 85 percent. I don't even know how a doctor could accurately pinpoint what percentage Paige is as of today. What is the Geno says she has good days and has had a few bad days since coming back, and Geno was referring to practice sessions, not actual games.
If Paige is ready to play 20 minutes or more tonight, this is for the BE Championship game, and I anticipate Paige having her best game since she came back. Geno should start her in my opinion. Unless she is still hurting, then of course, she should not start. On the plus side, after tonight, UCONN will have about 10 days off to provide more healing time for the whole team, but especially for Paige.
It's time to put up or shut up for both Paige (if her knee allows it) and Azzi. Playing for the BE Championship is the kind of spotlight the BFF live for and I expect both of them will have outstanding games tonight. And if they do, UCONN will win easily and the number 2 seed is a lock. I'm waiting patiently for Azzi and Paige to launch in the same game. I have a feeling it will be tonight.

I respect Villanova, and particularly the play Maddie Siegrist but we don't need for either Paige or Azzi to be in synchronicity to beat the Wildcats. Azzi could hit the broad side of a barn against Marquette but that's to be expected of a freshman that sustained a challenging injury and where expectations are through the roof. I thought she rushed her shots and was not playing in control. As you indicate, it's difficult to discern the level and extent of Paige's recovery. Accordingly, I would rather see her on restricted minutes at least the Sweet Sixteen. We can run the table regardless of our seeding and placement. Everyone needs to do their part and we win our twelfth Championship with Team play....no one person's play being outcome determinative.

Let Coaches continue to mix and match, to rotate all these players who have come through the worst of times, all the players who have gotten the team to this point. I would stick to keeping the Wizard’s minutes to 20. And Azzi’s performance, I would assume, will determine her minutes. Am hoping for a return to form for Caroline. And hope that CW can keep her fine playing going. Ali is back to her old self. Keep it up, girl! And it looks like Dorka understands and relishes the challenges of UConn basketball. Go Huskies!

Even the greatest shooters have slumps. Currently Steph Curry is going through one of the biggest slumps of his career. And some consider Steph to be the greatest pure shooter to ever play in the NBA. It happens eventually to all great shooters. Katie Lou shot 47 percent as a JR from the 3 point line and fell to 37 percent when she was a SR, which is what CW is currently shooting. I would like to be a fly on the wall when Paige is with her doctor and Geno discussing her progress and when or if she is ever going to get back to 100 percent this year. Keeping my fingers crossed that the BFF emerge tonight in the BE championship game and they take that momentum into the NCAA's. I am not saying that UCONN requires Paige and Azzi to play at their highest potential together tonight to beat Villanova. There are many scenarios that UCONN can win the game and the BFF combo is what I"m hoping to see. Not something that has to happen for UCONN to win tonight.
One thing is obvious, Paige is calling the shots. No one else. When she is ready to start and play 30 minutes, she will let Geno know and he will allow Paige to make the decision.

My favorite line from Geno about Paige, "Don't get me started."

I can't take credit for that 85% of Bueckers, that was Skip. Even without Paige, I think UConn beats Villanova comfortably today. But UConn will have Bueckers for 20-24 minutes today and her rebounds, assists, steals, and points will add to UConn's superiority over a more normal 'Nova performance (i.e. shooting under 40% rather than shooting over 50% last time). Recall how fast and how much damage UConn did to Villanova last time in just a portion of Q4? They did it in the last 4 minutes! This game, I suspect UConn will do similar bursts 2x-3x, so Villanova will absorb much more pressure, get much less rebounds, and shoot considerably lower, while seeing their TOs increase.
