The numbers presented are worthy of all the accolades for Tara that one could bestow on her. That she did it without ego as many now suggest is not only debatable but evidentiary untrue.
Her vindictive treatment of Rebecca Lobo which led to the entire Olympic team threatening unanimously to quit in protest if Tara continued to attempt to remove Lobo from the team must be included in her legacy.
For all greats have their foibles which makes them humans like the rest of us thus relatable for all of us to say empathetically well done. That her legacy, even when its flaws are presented, can withstand such scrutiny is a testament to her greatness.

She also terminated the UConn-Stanford series with games left once she realized she would mostly lose and her head-to-head W-L with Geno kept looking worse (7-12), especially if one eliminated the early 2-3 losses before UConn had risen up in 1994 season onward (i.e. 5-12). Many career-centered coaches stopped playing UConn, including Summitt, to make their head-to-head with Auriemma led teams not get worse and worse. Such as Andy Landers, Sylvia Hatchett, Duke's McCallie, Mulkey would selectively stop until her team got better, Muffet, and others. I'll give Brenda Frese credit, she often kept playing UConn even when she knew they'd be outmatched.
