I was stunned to hear that Calipari is leaving blue blood, prestigious Kentucky for Fayetteville, AR. It will be interesting to see how much highly rated recruits chose Kentucky because of the school's rich basketball heritage vice how much they chose it to play for Coach Cal. If the latter, Arkansas is about to experience an explosion of success it has not seen since the Nolan Richardson days of "40 Minutes of Hell" three decades ago.
Now to my concern....Kentucky needs a coach and they are going to want the best possible replacement. Who is the hottest coach in the men's game right now? Yep...the guy who won the championship last year, lost three starters, and is back in the championship game again this year! I am very concerned Kentucky will make an offer to Dan Hurley that he will not be able to refuse. I am not ready for Hurley to leave us yet!

I was heartened when I read that article where Hurely said he was staying in Storrs to build a dynasty. But I read he makes $5 million a year. Arkansas is getting ready to give Calipari a reported $7.5-8 million and Cal hasn't won anything in a long time. If Kentucky offers Hurley one or two million more a year than what he is making now, UConn better be ready to give him more money to retain him. He is a winner...even if I do think his blunt personality is a little too close to Mulkey's.

You need to worry about losing Hurley when the Rutgers job opens up.
And he is NOTHING like Mulkey

You need to worry about losing Hurley when the Rutgers job opens up. And he is NOTHING like Mulkey I'll grant you that he does not wear garish, look-at-me outfits and he is a New Jersey liberal, not a Louisiana redneck. But I think they both have the same pugnacious, in-your-face personality...willing to speak their mind without a filter and not caring what the backlash is. They both also emote shamelessly on the sidelines and those antics create humorous memes on the internet. Those similarities belie any contention that they are "NOTHING" alike...unless you disagree with them.
