First myth: USC has a bench and UConn doesn’t - wrong! Neither has a bench to speak. Their big off the bench as far as production is no better than Brady’s production. Their 7th and 8th players are just as unproductive as Ines and Samuels scoring 0 points in the last game playing just 9 minutes combined
Second: Fatigue is a factor for UConn. No, it is a factor for both. Yes, Paige KK and Nika played 40 minutes but Edwards played the fewest minutes of all starters of either team with just 29. All the USC starters played north of 30 minutes with four playing 33,35,38 and 39 minutes (Juju).
Third: The Huskies, especially Paige are feeling the cumulative affect of minutes played this past season not USC. Nope.Paige averaged 31 minutes per game while Juju averaged 35.4 minutes per game. Playing in the BE sees the UConn players garnering far less minutes as a whole than the more competitive P-12.
Fourth: USC has more height. Wrong. If you believe the USC media guide Juju is 6’2” - she isn’t. Last year after her senior season Hoopgurlz listed her as being 6’0”. Doubtful she grew 2” to 3” the time just before she arrived at USC. USC starts four guards like UConn with the tallest being 6’0”. Their center Marshall is 6’4” while Edwards is 6’3” - advantage UConn AA in this match up.

Like I needed more info to get hyped 😃 but THANK YOU! Let’s add this, Juju Watkins maybe having a fantastic year and most likely the FPOY but she’s still a freshman playing on a platform she’s never experienced. Do I need to repeat what Rebecca Lobo said almost two weeks ago? “Don’t count UCONN out”. I haven’t and neither has our girls. They smell it now, that chip on their shoulders just got bigger. Let’s go Huskies!!! (Btw) I’m nervous as hell for all the right reasons!
