Concerning Jackson State, I do believe that this HBCU basketball team was under seeded - deserving of a much higher seed. Maybe in time the Committee will give more value to HBCU programs. They are so nmuch better than so many teams seeded above them.

In the preview Kara and Lobo both were concerned about the ability of the Jackson state team. I think they deserved a seeding between 7 and 10

They are so nmuch better than so many teams seeded above them. I had that same thought. But when I checked the brackets I saw that our 22 point victory margin was pretty much in line with the other #3 seed victories over #14 seeds in the tourney. #3 Oregon State beat #14 E. Washington by the same 22 points, #3 NC State beat #14 Chattanooga by 19, and #3 LSU beat #14 Rice by only 10. I don't think all of those #14 seeds were under seeded. Maybe the scores are just a reflection of the growing parity in WCBB where there are more good players to spread around. Or maybe something else...I don't know. I generally agree that HBCUs deserve more respect from the NCAA. I'm just not sure the Jackson State seeding is necessarily an example of disrespect.
