Tough loss. All I can think about is what an experience for Williams and Olivia. And what next season will be like. I wonder how bad Lou’s back is. That they got this far is a credit to them all. Reminds me going through that period when the rivalry heated up, and we lost 2-3 in a row to ND. We will rebound.

Another soul crushing defeat. Hate to see Pheesa and Lou's careers end this way. You cannot get outrebounded like that and hope to win. Go Baylor.

Yup, Rich, go Baylor! Next year will be Sweet Sixteen max unless some fruit falls from the trees in transfers or international sign ups (if either are not too late according to the rules.)

Rebounding hurt last night but how many ridiculously easy shots in a game can you miss . Uncontested shots lou, Collier , walker, danger , Williams and Ono all has open misses and several of our players multiple losses . I can gonesyltvthis time partislly agree with Rich about rebounding. Normally our losses are way down the list of reasons. Last night it was 1 or 2 but I still believe those easy misses at critical times did us in. We have had two losses in the last 7 or 8 years that we’re rebounded related and sadly both came at the hands of Notre Dame .

As Katie goes, so goes the team. 3-10’from three. Plus the entire team shot 28 percent from three- not going to happen with those numbers.

Rebounds killed the Huskies. Next year they will be better with the maturation of Williamsonabd Nelson-Ododa. See minimum another FF in the offing.

Excellent bad taste in the mouths of Dangerfield (3x!), Walker (2x), Williams, ON-O, and Coombs. It should help going forward. Too many open misses, too many missed layups/ bunnies, and too many short rebounds lost (I can forgive long rebounds as anyone has a shot at a three brick bouncing way out). ALso did not like ND getting away with blocks that concealed them hitting the shooter's lower body. Oh well. Just a B- performance against ND's B performance.

I feel so badly for Napheesa and Lou. To go to the FF and lose three times in the last minute. They should have won at least one title in 2017 or 2018. We only had a shadow of Lou this year. UConn is going to need some serious major help to make a 13th trip to the FF.

I am not enraged or mourning this loss to ND. In a way, this is like 2012 when UConn was a top team, but not the heavy favorite during latter reg season and the post-season with KLS injury uncertainty. In 2012, Baylor and ND were viewed as the favorites, BU the heavy favorite and ND the favorite if BU stumbled. UConn 2012 was the next, tertiary favorite.
I didn't expect a NC this season like I did last season, although ND last season and BU before Wallace injury were likely very tough outs. I didn't expect a NC in 2016. Nor did I in 2013, but UConn got one, somewhat unexpectedly.
I view UConn seasons since 2008 as one of four levels:
1.] Great season -- NC and likely 0-1 loss, and often historically dominant and/ or record-setting. Ridiculous that us fans could have anticipated this so often; 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, and 2016. That's amazing to expect and receive 5 great seasons in 11 seasons. Most programs never get any or at most 1-2.
2.] Successful season -- Seriously challenge for NC and reach the FF, and usually only 2-3 close losses. 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Admittedly, it looked like 2011 would be a NC, then the FF semi stumble by Maya and 4 youngsters. Assuredly, 2013 went from successful to sort of great when BU fell, and UConn whacked ND and hammered L'ville. Yes, I felt 2018 was a possible NC, so the OT loss hurt.
3.] Good season -- Be in the NC discussion and at least make the FF. May be 4-5 losses. 2008 and 2012. Typically, these are rebuilding seasons right in front of getting a couple of critical players for much higher expectations in following season. Sometimes, there is simply a dominant team in WCBB that isn't UConn, such as the Baylor 2012 team with Griner, veterans, Simms. 2008, Candace Parker was still the consensus POY.
4.] So-So season -- Could be called disappointing by UConn relative lofty standards. Could be tough to even attain FF and likely 4-6 losses. These could be the "wilderness seasons" such as the post-Di and pre-Maya seasons where the star is Charde Houston, sometimes a great scorer, but not the consistency or remarkable POYs that UConn has often possessed to WCBB's sorrow. That was 2005, 2006, and 2007. Still highly ranked but not a NC contender. Diehard fans realize a so-so UConn season is most everyone else's great to very successful season, and look to the future when UConn climbs back to the summit and battles for NCs again.
Thus, I am saddened but not crushed as it was a largely fun and successful season. So many streaks continue, coaching staff in place, returning players expected to improve, and other than Oregon and Baylor, many top tier teams got shredded by graduation (i.e. ND) or lost their singular star(s) (i.e. L'ville, MSST). Relativelyy speaking, UConn looks in good position, albeit a tall grad transfer or international player would be wonderful. Where would BU, MSST, and ND be without their grad transfers this past season?
