But she was 8-28 from beyond the arc in the 6 games before getting hit in head/ face twice. Starting in the Oregon game, she has been in a 13-game 3FG% funk. Both before and after her injury, and the trainers kept her out for 4 games and over two weeks. I'm thinking it is a shooter's slump more than post-injury. She is also a frosh, that had suddenly starting in the ND game was playing a lot of minutes and much pressure, although she competed very well in that 7 game stretch.
We've seen Fudd cold for short stretches. We've seen KLS and KML hit slumps for multiple games. As well as Maya, Stewart, Diana, and Bird hit shooting slumps from threes. With Paige back and drawing much attention I think Ducharme will be more wide open for threes and start hitting them and confidence will accordingly soar. Good timing. UConn needs or can use her all-around game in tougher post-season games.

One quality Caroline pssesses is that she will continue shooting. It may be a bit like zerooing in the sights on a rifle. She's not that far off. She has had some luck. One shot hit the front rim, bounced up and fell down through the net. Keep shooting, Caroline, it'll come back.

Coach Geno Auriemma said Sunday that Ducharme had taken some “solid hits” to the head a couple times in previous games and wasn't feeling well, so they held her out as a precaution. He said at the time that she had been through testing but that she didn't have a concussion.Feb 9, 2022

Yes, I know that UConn never used the specific term concussion, even though they kept her out considerably long for some bumps and shots. I use the term concussion as one almost everyone has heard even if it is overly used. Even by me.
